I skipped 2 days of class for a 4 day weekend in Singapore.
*proud*
I've never skipped class for holidays before (except for those self-declared ones where I stayed home and slept like I died).
It hasn't been long since my last trip in Singapore, which was in February, so I can say that I am still very much acquainted with everything.
Truth is, Singapore bores. The real truth is, I'm too broke to find it interesting.
Okay. I wasn't always broke, and it wasn't always boring. I remembered having cash for like a second, everything was exciting, and then by 2nd day it was gone. Although, I do take comfort in that whatever money I lost, I gained in a fair amount of items, for a very fair price.
Thanks to Singapore's great sale.
its like "wah lau eh, si beh sahttt."
The Great Singapore Shopping Competition. I don't know what it was all about ( I still don't), except when it started, the herd of stampede almost sent me back to God.
There was also a garish cheer leading performance.
I also went to the Night Safari, which I utterly, totally, most definitely regret. The last time I went was 13 years ago, hence my brother and I were exceptionally psyched when we were going again.
However, one horrific caveman show and a tram ride crammed with schmoes and crying kids later, I wished I was in the G-Max Reverse Bungy (aka Ride of Death) in Clark Quay, screaming my guts and lungs out instead.
Yes. I am holding a metal whisk, in front of a Gong, surrounded by pots and pans, in Night Safari.
I know its suppose to carry a certain Neolithic feel to the place, but it failed to have its effect on me.
Mum, sis, bro, and Dad.
The highlight of the night was the picture with Mr. Mosquito. or Mr. bee. or Mr. fly. or some hybrid.
Shadow puppets. Quite freaky actually. and it looks like the place is haunted.
That's all for Night Safari. During the guided tram ride, we weren't allowed to take any pictures hence only this. Besides, there wasn't really much to take, it was only boars and deers, hippos and buffalos, with really nice scientific names.
and did I mention the stench that comes with it? Dear God.
On Sunday, I went to Lucasfilm Animation Co for my Kor Pi Kor's family day function.
At Expo's Signature building.
A place where I'd never get a job.
A figurine from The Mummy.
Yoda from the animated Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
I've got ears like Yoda's. *guffaws*
Daddy, mummy, and kor pi playing little silly games for children. Cuteness.
Its a long delay but here it is! 2 days of freedom with Tiesto!
The event took place in Admiral Marina. They had 2 separate sections: Trance, and RnB. Both nights, we stayed at Trance because Tiesto totally owned the place. LOL
The 1st day, on the 9th of May, features Ferry Corsten and Tiesto. Whereas the 2nd night, on the 10th, there was Cosmic Gate and Tiesto.
In a nutshell, the event was off the hook!
However, it was a little bit ruined by people who were stoned by drugs and alcohol. Half the night we actually spent our time trying not to trip over rubbish, foot, and people (clearly intoxicated) sitting on the sand among the crowd.
But it was nonetheless, super.
Outside the gate where its all happening inside! With Alicia, Kelly, Sherman, and Hoong.
Hoong, KeL, Jason, Sherman, Julia, Yeing, and Kelly.
With Kelly promoting freedom.
Julia and KeL, silly.
The girls on the 9th.
Ferry Corsten! We had not catch all his tunes becoz we were late, but I did hear him playing Fire when I was outside. awes
Julia, Alicia, Kelly, Yeing, Sulyn, and KeL all hyped up.
Devil-ing with Sulyn's horns. LOL.
Tiesto on the 1st night, I didn't snap too many pictures during the 9th, because I was saving up memory space for the 10th.
with Yeing and Jason.
with Sherman.
If I didn't knew them, I'd easily pass them off as a couple. a cute couple. LOL
with Jason and a fraction of his orange hair.
The rest of the night was a daze. When we woke up, it was Saturday noon already. Although Yeing, Julia, and Alicia had to leave, Alex, Cheryl and Nessa joined us right after.
Port Dickson, despite being known for its less attractive beaches, the place still has its mesmerising sights.
overlooking the sky with Nessa.
With Alex and the pretty waves.
Then, at night, its partayyy time again! We totally missed out on Cosmic Gate (which I regret), and so what the heck, I took plentiful videos of Tiesto instead.
The Opening. Saturday's crowd is so overwhelming, it beats Friday.
Kelly, Ben, and Kel.
group pic sans Jason.
with the girls Nessa, Sulyn, Kelly, and Cheryl.
with Kelly and fingers.
The happy bunch.
One of the many vid of Tiesto. Simply, 'A'.
2 days slipped by quickly, and the mini-break of freedom is over. bye bye PD.
I know I've celebrated my birthday a few days now, I've just been procrastinating because I don't know where to start!
I'll guess I'll start with a big thank you, to everyone that played a part in my 21 years of life.
family, friend, or foe, you made me, Me.
And I love me. wtf
21 is a powerful number. It earned me lotsa celebrations and gifts. Too bad I can only have that once. Lookie me, greedy greedy.
my BiBi. Self-claimed Gentle Giant. love.
Mum n Dad. For all that they have done for me, for my 21st, for my life. Love.
Happy Family sans bro and sis.
My cute little chocolate walnut pecan butter cream cake, for my mini family celebration.
so pretty T.T
Daddy, and her little girl. Well, not so little anymore... but I'd like not to remind myself.
On my birthday morning, I had to make my way to an early class, undergo a stressful major presentation, and an incredibly boring seminar that I was duped to attend.
I digress. So I went instead to take pictures.
With Tods and Marc. I tried cropping out Marc, or at least his tongue, but it was of no avail.
before the seminar with Syah and Tods.
Then, at dusk, I went for dinner with my college lovelies.
with Min and Syah at Toddy's, waiting for him while he was....grooming.
We had Spanish at La Bodega for dinner. With Renee, Min, Cheri, Syah, and Tods.
Cheri recommended balls as appetizer. Lamb balls.
Its really good, despite me usually not eating lamb or beef. I'm more of a chicken and fish person.
our main course. Simply delish.
First toast.
Then, some nice gentlemen bought us a bottle of Chardonnay, and we had another reason to toast again!
Renee and me practicing for our none-too-soon wedding.
After the superb meal, we went for some sweat session. We headed down for Mambo Jambo @ Zouk. ^.^ With the girls outside Zouk.
Latiff joined us too.
Our version of artistic non-verbal body to body communication.
with sexies Cheri and Syah
sneak a pic with Renee at the bar
girls just wanna have fun, or that syah was just being horny.
Latiff, Min, Renee, and Cheri.
Latiff, Syah, Toddy, and Bard.
I can't help but to notice a similarity of this pic with the two previous ones. Latiff's tongue. Man...looking at it just makes me want to snap his jaw shut. LOL.
Today, my aunts also threw me a celebration! Aunt Val and Aunt Helena. Love.
My Chocolate Indulgence. just 'A'.
This, here, is my new favourite drink. Chocolate liquor. Heck, it should be every girl's favourite drink.
In the end, I just really wanna thank everyone for all your thoughtful gifts, wishes, and basically just being a part of my 21st.
Even though some of you were not with me, like... my Kor pi Kor
Ave
my darling, Von. (thanks for that special something in the mailbox, you have no idea how ecstatic I was to see it)
